Dark Cherry Update (Again)

Here she is! I have to admit, at first she was driving me mad! Now I've become addicted! I've been working on her pretty steadily for the past month or so. I would like to finish the first page by the time the third page arrives! LOL!! As you can see, I've learned a new (to me) trick! Thanks to Annette for explaining how to 'sign' my stitchy pics.

I've put DC down for a bit to work on Lil'Blue Fair Cat (Hawks) again. This weekend was the HAED UFO/SWIP SAL. He qualifies for sure! I am close to a finish with him. I think I may continue to work on him till he's done. Yeah, I know, I've said that before!

I also started a new one, Always Remember - My Big Toe Designs. This one is for my SIL. Here's the original, and my start:

I am taking my time on this one. It will be a while before the time will be right to give it to my SIL. She had a lump removed from her breast back in Feb. The tests came back saying it was cancer. She made the decision to have her breast removed. She's now recovered, and started back to work last Friday. Can't believe it all happened so fast. She got the results from the final test back last week. They told her that she doesn't need to do chemo. She will have to take a hormone pill once a day for the next 5 years. She is thrilled that she doesn't have to go through chemo. I am happy for her to not have to go through the chemo, but I am hesitant as well. I don't trust the doctors she is seeing, but then again, I do have trust issues. She is very comfortable with her doctors and it's up to her. I know I would have gone a different way, but we all need to travel our own paths. I pray everyday that she will be well, and that this is all now behind her. Appreciate it if my readers (if there are any!) would keep a thought for her as well. Thank you.

Eowyn Challenge Update

Fisrt I want to thank the people that commented on my framed pieces, Thank You!

I've been stitching on LIl'Blue Fairy Cat this weekend. It's the SWip weekend SAL over at the HAED board so this little guy needed some attention. I will have an update one him later on, after the SAL. So my Spring cleaning is on the back burner this weekend. I needed some stitching time, I was feeling burnt out.

On a side note, I have been participating in the Eowyn Challenge since July 07. I'm not walking, I am tracking miles spun. My exercise classes include Spin classes, so that's how I'm doing it. I just thought I would give an update on this. Here's my stats thru far:

Start Date: July 10, 2007
Starting Weight: 170
Current Weight: 149
Loss so far: 21 pounds
9/12/2007 Lost one dress size.

Miles cycled:
BAG END TO RIVENDELL (458 miles total) - Completed.
RIVENDELL TO LOTHLRIEN (462 Miles total) - Completed.
LOTHLRIEN TO RAUROS (389 Miles) - Completed.
RAUROS TO ISENGARD: Merry and Pippin's Path (355 Miles) - Completed
ISENGARD TO MINAS TIRITH: Gandalf and Pippin's Path (517 miles) - Completed
MINAS TIRITH TO THE MORANNON (138 Miles) - Completed

2319 Miles = Cumulative Journey thus far - Bag End to Morannon.

THE MORANNON TO MINAS TIRITH: The Return Journey (120 Miles) - 28 miles thus far.

Where I am now: In valley between mountains on east and steep slopes on west.

It's fun tracking the progress and it keeps me on track.

What do you do to keep your fitness routine interesting?

Framed Pieces

First up, ACEO Best Friends - Artwork Molly Harrison, chart HAED. Started 7/2006, Completed 12/31/2007. Stitched on 40ct. Newcastle 2 X 2, DMC floss.

Second, Lizzie Kate, Double Flip-It. Started 3/1/2008, Completed 6/6/2008.
32 ct. Cream Lambswool Lugana, Weeks Dye Works floss, 2 X 1 full cross

I would have a pic of CDC framed to show, BUT when they took the wrapping off I saw a piece of something (like a cardboard shaving or something) under the glass! They are keeping it to fix. Hope to get it back soon!

I haven't been stitching much lately. Seems like time is flying by me and I'm getting nothing done, well stitching wise. I've started Spring cleaning around the house. So far I've done my master bedroom closet, my PC room and closet. Next up is the spare room and closet, 2 linen closets and the coat closet in the foyer. I am terrible about closets! Can you tell? I've been needing to do all this for about 3 years now! I just hate to spend free time doing stuff like this, I could be stitching!

HAED's 7,000th Customer

I know I owe you a stitching update. I've been holding off, trying to finish Cirque des Cercles, I'm on the last page! Hope to get that done soon, so I will have a pic for ya.

In the meantime I just saw an announcement on the HAED BB and thought I would share.

They are very close to having 7,000 customers in their database and they are going to offer that person their first chart for free!

How cool is that??!!!! So if you haven't given in to the addiction that is HAED yet.... now is the time!!!!
