Quick Rosey Update

I've had Rosey up on the rods this week. I haven't managed a lot of stitching time but I though I'd update before I take her down for this weekend. This is all the way across the entire top of the design (plus 4 rows at the top - don't ask), if you MUST ask, then look here for an explaination, down at the bottom (if you dare!). 28 ct. White Jobelan, and delicious Vicki Clayton silks, 1 X 1, full cross.

I am participating in the first HAEDLess Sampler SAL this weekend. It's the third weekend of each month from Friday to Monday. We can stitch one sampler all year or work on a few, and we aren't restricted by what sort of sampler we want to stitch. I will be working on my Cirque des Cercles this time. Maybe I can make some real progress if I concentrate!

2008 HAED SAL Challenge - January

This weekend was the first SAL Challenge for the new year. I decided to keep Goblin Tree as my SAL project this year. I have 6 pages completed so far. I decided to move along across the top, so I started page 3. I got around 700 stitches in this weekend. Not bad considering I spent most of this weekend doing grocery shopping and errands. I still love stitching her. It was fun to get back to her this weekend.

I put Curley Tailed Rosey back on the rods last week and got a few stitches in. She's a lot of fun to stitch too! I think I'll get back to her for a bit this week. I'm stitching her in VC Silks and it's so much fun to play with the silks!

One more (enabling) point. I was wandering around cyberspace just before the holidays and found this. Something about it struck me, and I had to have it! So I signed up for the auto ship over at Needlecraft Corner , Drema is really nice and she set me up. So far I've gotten the first 2 double flip-its, some yummy 32 ct. Cream Lambswool Lugana, and all the spectialy threads for each of the first 2 designs. I don't know where I'm going to fit it in, but I need to make room for it. Courtney let me know that there's a SAL for this too! Lizzie Kate SAL I am reluctant to sign up as I don't know if I will be able to keep up. My HAED's take up a lot of my free time!

Once again, thank you for your well wishes for my MIL. She is continuing to improve slowly.

Cirque des Cercles

Thank you for your kind words for my MIL. She is out of the hospital now. She's home but feeling depressed. Hopefully it will pass.....

I took a break from stitching HAEDs and completed page 1, some of page 2, and about 50% of page 4 on Cirque des Cercles.

Happy New Year!

I've been running back and forth to PA. My MIL was hospitalized Christmas night (11 PM) with Congestive Heart Failure due to pneumonia. I have to say this whole holiday season has been a wash. She is doing much better finally, and she's been moved out of ICU into a regular room now. I'm sorry I haven't kept up with blog reading. I am trying to catch up now. Even though I may not leave comments, please know that I enjoy reading your blogs, so keep it up!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and here's a wish for a happy and healthy New Year for all!

My one bright spot was I did make my goal to finish ACEO Best Friend by Dec.31st. Here she is!

She looks a bit crooked, sorry. I still have to wash and block her. She will straighten out once that's done.
