Happy New Year!

I know I haven't blogged in a while, sorry. I was off from work Dec. 17th through today. Lots of company and visiting over the holidays. I hope your Christmas and New Year holidays were fantastic, and all your fondest dreams came true!
I'm posting pictures today of the progress I've made with my projects over the holidays.
First up is Curly Tailed Rosey, hadn't touched her since Feb. of 2008! HAED had a SWIP/UFO SAL this weekend so it was the perfect time to get her out. I had a page happy dance! This is page 1 completed and page 2, 3, and 4 started.
Next is Lil Blue Fairy Cat. I wanted to finish him before the new year, but that just didn't happen. I don't have far to go though, so maye this year...

Next up is a new start for the new year! Bewitched, artwork by Katerina Koukiotis. This is what it will look like. It was RAK from Becky (rlj1217 from the HAED BB). Thank you Becky!!!! This is my first black & white chart start. I am stitching it with Vikki Clayton silks! The fabric is SMF, 28 ct. Jubliee, the color name is Squall. It's a very light grey.

Here's what my start looks like. It's hard to get a good picture of this one. The silk is really shiny IRL. It's a pleasure to stitch!

So that's it on the stitching front! I start back to my Spin classes today. I'm starting slow, with 2 classes a week. I'll see how that goes for a bit before getting back to my normal 6 classes per week. It'll feel good to finally get back!
I hope to post again tomorrow with Christmas Cat pics!

Lots of Pics!

Fist up is my new, and very first ever, original artwork purchase, Annie Rodrigue's Diva Kitty! Annie sent the image to HAED to be charted too! Looks like I will end up with 2 of these (one of them stitched my me, someday)!
Next, some booty from my recent SEX (Stash Enhancement Experience). There is more to come yet, but this is the first to arrive. Charts from ABC Stitch, Silks from Vikki.

And finally, my silk toss for the Spanish Sampler Mystery Stitch-A-Long. More Vikki silks, with Zweigart 36 ct. Linen.

This weekend is the Fourth weekend Themed SAL (HAED). I'll be working on Goblin Tree.
Have a wonderful weekend, and a Happy Easter!

Silks!

How yummy are these?!! Obviously, I got my Vikki Clayton silks for Rosy the other day. But, and this is a big BUT, I won't be getting the fabric in time for the New Start SAL this Friday. *frowns* Seems there is a problem with Lugana....they are all out of 28 Ct. White and Antique White as well. The fabric has been on backorder with the distributors for a few weeks now. So I have to drop back and punt. I've kitted up another chart for the SAL. Witholding the name for now. I may change my mind by Friday. Maybe some new charts will be released before then? Hummm... One never knows.....

Started Cirque des Cercles

25 Ct. Black Lugaga, Vicki Clayton Verigated silk in Tugtupite,
1 over 1. (Don't mind the cat hair!)

This is a lot of fun to stitch! What do you think of my color choices?

Thanks to those of you that have left comments! Thank you for visiting!

It's been a while

I moved up to page 1 on Goblin Tree (directly above the last page I worked on). I am stitching the moon and it's taking me some time. I decided to add some sparkle, so for all the DMC 3866 I did the first leg of the X as normal, then I went back and did the second leg of the X in Petite Treasure Braid (PB10). I am liking the way it is turning out and I can't wait to post a picture of it. I hope to get at least the moon part done tonight.

I got my order of Vicki Clayton silks. I am planning on doing Cirque des Cercles on 25 ct. lugana with VC Tugtupite. I want to start it this weekend. Here's my floss toss for it:
